Van der Graaf Generator 2020 sont Peter Hammill (chant, guitare, claviers), Hugh Banton (orgue, basse) & Guy Evans (batterie, percussions), les trois membres survivants du groupe original formé en 1968 Après une interruption de près de trente ans, la formation est réapparue en 2005 avec un concert de réunion triomphant au Royal Festival Hall de Londres et un nouvel enregistrement, "Present".
