Disciple de Daddy U Roy, il commence des 1970 en sound system (Silver Bullet, Kilimandjaro, Stur, Blood & Fire...) avant d'être produit par Bunny Lee, Yabby U, Fatman, Linval Thompson... En 1978, il impose son label Hit Sound avec des tubes comme Weather Balloon, Please Doctor... Il a enregistré Al Campbell, Delroy Wilson... Il vit toujours en Jamaïque, entre deux tournées en Europe, en Amérique du Nord...
