Originaire de Boston, Massachusetts, le jeune guitariste reçoit le premier électrochoc aux volutes de Jimi Hendrix avant de prendre la route avec son tout premier blues band. Guitariste monstrueux, il sait pourtant se montrer discret, privilégiant le velouté d'un toucher, la magie d'une note cristalline à une avalanche de solis insipides. Installé à Paris de puis 1989, cet américain tourne avec Gordon Russel avant de monter sa propre formation. Son style peut rappeler Eric Clapton.
