Le groupe compte à son actif, entre autres choses, deux albums avec Steve Albini aux manettes (Shellac, Big Black). Il a ensuite travaillé sur un projet live avec John Zorn (qui a sorti un album sur son propre label Tzadik) et a aussi fait une tournée en première partie de Slipknot, Smog et Jim O'Rourke.
