Ils sont occasionnellement membres des Sacred Hearts de Jim Belushi mais aussi des Blues Brothers, et travaillent régulièrement aux côtés de Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Gladys Knight, et Etta James. Leur guitariste J.J. Holiday a aussi travaillé avec Little Bob sur son album "Lost Territories". Jimmie Wood, chanteur prêcheur, harmoniciste et frontman des Imperial Crowns, le clame haut et fort : "We play ferocious blues, psychedelta soul & pumpin' funk... This is what the Imperial Crowns do for a living!"
