De son vrai prénom Mounir, Hornet la Frappe commence sa carrière en 2012 lorsqu'il signe sur le label TXT Productions dirigé par Busta Flex, et sort son premier EP intitulé Réussir ou Mounir en 2014. Il fonde ensuite son propre label Diez Peufra avec des amis afin de publier lui même ses nouveaux titres.
