François Couturier est un pianiste quasi universel. Tango, variété française, folklore corse, musique contemporaine : rien ne lui est étranger. Pour lui, tout est prétexte à création jazzistique. Pas étonnant que sa carrière soit jalonnée de rencontres avec des artistes d'envergure, adeptes des mélanges et du choc des cultures : John Mc Laughlin, Jean-Paul Celea, Michel Portal ou François Jeanneau.
