Edmundo Carneiro a commencé sa carrière dans son pays avant de s'installer en France en 1988. Il a travaillé avec un grand nombre d'artistes très divers : Jacques Higelin, Bachibouzak, Grupo Extra, Kamafra, Guenau... Il est en outre le percussionniste de Tania Maria et a participé au succès massif de St.Germain, dans son album « Tourist ».
