Brown est né en France et a étudier le Jazz au Berklee College of Music. Depuis maintenant plus de 25 ans il a fait des collaborations avec des musiciens comme: David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, Joe Zawinul, Randy und Michael Brecker, Bill Evans et entre autre Billy Cobham. En plus des collaborations sur scène vous pouvez l'entendre sur des albums des artistes suivants: Roberta Flack, Gil Evans, Eddie Harris, Gato Barbieri, Bob James, Victor Bailey, Lenny White, Steps Ahead oder Color Me Badd.
