S'il est resté trop discret pour devenir une superstar, Olaf Bender, l'Allemand derrière Byetone, n'est rien d'autre que le cofondateur du label techno Raster-Noton (avec Frank Bretschneider) et responsable de son identité visuelle. Il affectionne une techno dure, froide et industrielle, proche d'un minimalisme qu'il ne veut pas voir disparaître, en total accord avec ses visuels géométriques étourdissants.
