"Fondé en 1985 par Guy Courtade et Marcel Bellus, le Big Band du Conservatoire National de Région de Toulouse est dirigé depuis 1997 par José Fillatreau, professeur de jazz et de batterie au Conservatoire. Ce big band est constitué d'une vingtaine d'élèves de troisième cycle."
