BENNY LACKNER

Né à Berlin d'un père californien, Benny Lackner est parti vivre aux Etats-Unis à l'âge de 9 ans. C'est sous l'influence de son oncle batteur, Tom Lackner, qu'il s'initie au jazz. Il étudie avec Brad Meldhau avant de se produire au Monterey et au Montreux Jazz Festival. On l'entend alors aux côtés de Billy Higgins ou Marc Ribot. On a pu retrouver récemment le pianiste auprès d'Elvis Costello, the Jazz Passengers, les Sex Mob ou Ralph Alessi, etc...
