"Ben ARONOV est né en Indiana. A 20 ans, il vient à Los Angeles où il travaille avec Franck Rossolino, Bob Cooper, Stan Levy, Conte Condoli et joue avec Charlie Haden, Gary Peacock, Ornette Coleman. En 1960 à New York, il obtient un diplôme de la Manhattan School of Music puis il accompagne Liza Minelli, Franck Sinatra, Peggy Lee... et travaille avec Jim Hall, Lee Koenitz, Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich.... Il tourne en Europe pendant les étés 2004 et 2005 avec Phil Woods, et s'installe en Provence définitivement. "
